Prompted by a recent piece in The Guardian touting Sir David Attenborough's plans to speak in favor at an upcoming conference on the subject, the "aquatic ape theory" is on people's lips again. PZ Myers smacks the theory around. Twitter had fun with it, using the …

Hi Nelson. Here is a story from Ireland which is going viral. It is about a child with stage 4 cancer and the song to raise funds for her. Elton John has gotten involved too. Whatever the ending it is still a good story that even floors this hardened Atheist. A different approach. You might like to add it to your Cancer Stories as I could not find a direct link. It would also (imo) make a good sunday school link for Empathy and Alturistic behaviour. I would not ask anyone directly to buy the song. btw if the child should die all or any remaining refunds are to be donated to research.
Dan Marshall said… That makes sense. Honestly, I could probably read several books a week if I stopped wasting so much time online. I barely ever play video games, but I do watch TV from time to time. ;)
Dan Marshall said… Sooooo... you're saying that you either own a flying DeLorean or a Time-Turner then, yeah? Either that, or you're a robot. How do you find the time to read that many books?!
Dan Marshall said… Embarrassingly, I have not had a chance to start any of those books yet. I've been working on writing at least 500+ words each day, so that's been keeping me busy. I also work for a testing company in the testing sector, so you can imagine that this is a very busy time of year for us. I'm sure I'll be done making excuses soon, let me see if I can think of one or two more...
Dan Marshall said… Pffft... Damn atheists always want proof for extraordinary claims!
Dan Marshall said… YEAH! I'm one of the cool kids now! :P
