Why are you here?
I do not believe in god, or any religious doctrine. I value logic, skepticism and critical thinking very highly. I am a man of science, and rationality. I see no reason for religion to exist, other than to line the pocketbooks of the leaders of a church, and for said leaders to have a large amount of control over the sheep that that they shepard. I want to see a world that more people value what i do, and fewer fall victim or prey to the mental illness that is religious thought.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
Logic. When i was young i never questioned things. I assumed being christian was like being human, or being alive, that it was normal. Once I started to be curious about the world and asking questions, that of religion and god was among them. At some point while searching for what religion or church i should belong to, it dawned on me that if I was looking for a doctrine that fit my personal beliefs, the beliefs were already there and the religion or church was completely superfluous. religion in general didn't hold up to any scrutiny any way, just gets worse as I get older and learn more.
