About Me:: I'm a student of life, and I see the world in a very logical way. I know enough to know that there are still many things I don't know (life, itself, is a work-in-progress). However, I'm very firmly of a scientific mind and a logical thought process. I consider myself a liberal extremist; a New Atheist; and the only morality or code of ethics I abide are the tenants of Humanism. I'm open minded but only so far as the hypothetical is something even remotely possible or at least plausible.

Why you left your religion.: I came to the realization that Christianity existed only to ensure it's continued existence, and not to bring people closer to God as I had been taught. This co-incided with my increasing understanding and knowledge in many areas of scientific study, which ultimately brought me to a crossroads between my faith and my intellect. Had I chosen my faith, I knew that I would only be lying to everyone, including myself; I knew I could never again be a believer in any kind of system that required that I exchange my empiricism for mindless obedience.
