I am so not looking forward to spending another Sunday choking back anger at my in-laws house as they attempt to indoctrinate my children. I think the "In our house we are atheists" conversation in coming and "you don't want you grand kids to think your fucking insane do you?" will probably be the core topic of it. My girls are not being raised to be very "open" about religion of any kind. It is contradictory to our end goal of having logical, grounded, and rational children. We are raising… Continue

My wife and I are not out about our views, at least not directly. I think that most of our VERY conservative and christian family suspects that we are not like them, but they just don't know exactly how different we are.

Anyways, I do love my family. I also love my wife's family. I would not deliberately hurt them. I think that in order for our children to have a relationship with any of their grandparents, its best if we just let sleeping dogs lie, and let them think we have just fallen… Continue

Atheist, Science, and the Search for Eternal Life

Clint we are a family of atheist freetkinkers in the lees summit area also. It is slim pickens around here, with a church on every other corner and an atheist the same as a devil worshiper. My name is Joseph and we are a solid family of five, not in the city, but have a greenwood address, but not greenwood either. If you have any interest in books or just talking about how screwed up things are around here feel free to call 816-665-1768. You never know how talking to someone who is not delusional could workout. Best wishes: Joseph
