Have you checked out the Fellowship of Freethought Dallas or Metroplex Atheist groups. I have joined them on meetup.com but haven't gone to any meetings yet due to financial/health difficulties. Anyway, there are some cool groups with real people in them to become friends with and find support in real life. I have to settle for virtual support for now and this website has been a great resource for me :)
