Has anyone else read it besides me? I found it an intriguing anthology, it's everything I expected from the man. (This is where the discussion of it should take place, but as an aside I did write of a review of the book for anyone whose read it or is interesting.)See More

Seems like a good site to subscribe to as I'm subscribed to Common Sense Atheism and Debunking Christianity.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
I grew out of it, to be frank. It just seemed like childish wish-thinking to me, which, I came to realize is actually what it is. One specific reason that stands out in my mind is: when my prayers didn't work and my pastor told us that we still had to act on our own accord to get through something, I realized that God is superfluous. If I must still do everything myself, what's the point in praying? What's the point in God? Then the flood of common objections rose almost simultaneously in my little mind. It seemed so simple. I was twelve. I'm eighteen now and a happy atheist.
