Tale of Two Fathers Which Art (Not) In Heaven: My Charles Dickens Versus Paul Ryan's Ayn Rand

Posted on August 12, 2012 at 4:30pm 2 Comments

I've been waiting for years for Paul Ryan to be named on the 2012 GOP Presidential ticket.  I had tiny worries of Santorum or fellow Minnesotans Bachmann and Pawlenty being serious considerations, but have anticipated that Paul Ryan would be the BoyWonder they would pick in the end. …

Jesus Is WINNING!

Today I discovered just how controversial Bunnies are... Some would say that the Leviticus inclusion of rabbits in the unclean camp because of their "chewing of the cud" points to an imperfect God... because they don't chew their cud so they are miscategorized...  but then I discovered arguments that cleared that right up.  Apparently God is Still Perfect because Rabbits eat their #2 which apparently falls in the cud chewing camp.  So - case solved?

Getting my Panties in a Bunch over a Not-That-Innocent Super Bowl ad.

Yesterday I allowed myself to get riled up about the Tebow family's Focus on the Phallic - er Family - Anti-Choice- oops - Pro-Life Super Bowl ad. I try my best to avoid rants on my Hot-For-Jesus Former Fundie blog. Rants just polarize the issue and cause eyes to glaze over. Whenever something pops up worthy of an opinion… Continue

Keith Green Popped My YouTube Cherry on my Hot4Jesus Blog

I've been blogging at Hot-For-Jesus Former Fundie for over 2 years... and never once have I embedded a YouTube link. I took pride in that fact. I thrive on writing original content and only use and abuse pics of Jesus and Hot Jesus Look-Alikes.

This last month, while hanging out with a fellow Former hardcore christian, we found ourselves tipsy and surfing the web for old-school Contemporary Christian Music… Continue

also, did you see my comparison of "a-Theist" to "Jesus Boots" and "a-Sandals?"

It is an honor to be your friend. I love people who think and live "out loud." Your posts are humorous, appropo and rich with imagery. We Atheists need more women in the cause of freedom from theocracy and patriarchy. I'm not feeling very threatened by the Gaia and Goddess Wiccans from their voodoo but boy Bush and the criminal violent theocrats and belligerent believers are our enemies viscerally. On a good day I might be humored and impressed. ... I might be impressed/humored because said theist chose to capitalize a-Theist in an attempt to make a point that is near and dear to said theist.

Christine, I don't think humored is the word you want here. You mean amused, right? You don't mean to suggest that the theist is humoring you. The distinction is significant. :)

You are welcome. I wasn't quite sure what to make of your ongoing fascination with Jesus, but I think I understand that it can be a fun and irreverent way for you to deal with and diminish the effects fundamentalism has had on you. Am I correct there? And, don't tell anyone, the new silhouette on your blog's background is hot, as is that Indian model, John Abraham.
