I just got to the responses to the questions that you had in return. If I had seen a new discussion on a question, I've left it alone for the moment. I like that you are asking so many thoughtful questions. If you break them out into new discussions like you have, you'll get so many varied responses. That's good for understanding because most of us have different viewpoints and we don't have a "doctrine" to follow. You'll find that we fight amongst each other sometimes too.
I really am not looking to change you, just answer your questions from my perspective. I have a neighbor who is an Evangelical Pastor. We have great times having coffee and he'll say "It didn't quite happen as Genesis tells it did it?" There are thousands of years behind this book with lots of great history. If studies take you away from religion, so be it. If you simply have to alter your view but can hold on to your faith for the happiness it may give you, I'd begrudge you nothing. It's a journey, enjoy the ride! There are people of faith here too that I can direct you to if you want another perspective on a given point. Don't be afraid to ask.

Hi Chrissi Welcome to TA. If it's Biblical Contradictions that you'd like to discuss, I put up a graph earlier this week here . If I recall correctly it was 432 errors that they have listed and their locations for comparison. It's a PDF file and honestly a bit annoying in how it loads, but it's quite telling. Some of it could be traced back to textual transcription problems, some of it's opinion, but quite a bit of it speaks for itself. Again, Welcome to TA.
