I was sitting in my office today. I was alone as almost everyone else has taken off for the holiday. I had Pandora on Christmas music. I listen to a lot of Baroque, Renaissance, medieval, celtic and new age music anyhow and that was the flavor of my Christmas music. I also had Trans-Sibrian Railway and Manheim Steamroller. I really enjoyed it.
I like Church. I don't mean the religion. Or The Church.

When I was a child I was a bit fanciful. I remember my mother on several occasions explaining the difference between 'real' and 'pretend/imagination'. And speculating about things was fine, playing was fine, but in reality I would not be able to fly off the roof with my umbrella like Mary Poppins and if I got hurt she would kill me.

I decided my musings are more Blog worthy than Forum worthy.
As far as I am concerned, my car runs on ritual magic. I basically know how it works and I used to be able to do things to to engine but now they are computerized and more complicated. I put gas in my car, I turn the key and it runs. A matter of faith.
I take it to the Car place when the lights come on and tell me to 'change oil' or 'check tire pressure'. I know what these mean and could posslibly do…

I took my kids to church, but did something right because it didn't take. I think rational discussions at home helped them make their own decisions at about 14. And I encourged them to think for themselves.
