I learned, when I was a young boy, that questioning everything was the beginning of discovering the truth. By the time I was in high school I had some pretty big question about contradictions in x-tian religion. I asked a question: If god says thou shalt not kill, does not divine wrath (flood myth, Sodom/Gomorrah, etc.) indicate hypocrisy in a supposedly perfect being? I was told I shouldn't ask questions like that. This did not settle well with the questioning nature of intelligence, science, and logic. I gave up on them.
