Cameron replied to Emperor Milos's discussion 'A fun test for all you ex-Christians'
"I'll have to look it up again.  It's been so long since I took that class.  I can think of the two books I have that might have it.  Let's hope I giggled at it enough to mark all over it to remind myself."

"It reminds me of some of the Spanish poetry that I studied in school.  The poetry was religious in content, but very erotically themed.  Apparently it's so difficult to express some of these feelings that the only thing people can do…"

Cameron replied to Gallup's Mirror's discussion 'What is the sound of democracy dying?'
"I think the worst part about this, like the fairly recent "revelations" that the government is actually spying on the US public, is the apathy that we're going to see about it.  "Oh, businesses and really rich people can buy…"

Cameron replied to Nicolas Gauvin's discussion 'Foreign languages'
"It could be interesting to see what someone who takes a literal view of the bible, or even a "fundamental" view, would say about the history of language.  I'll have to bring that up the next time I'm in that situation :D"

Cameron replied to Nicolas Gauvin's discussion 'Foreign languages'
"Yeah, the history of languages is extremely fascinating.  Another reason the Bible is an awful source of information: the Tower of Babel.  Linguistics makes a much more fascinating study."

Cameron replied to Nicolas Gauvin's discussion 'Foreign languages'
"I speak both English and Spanish.  Spanish is the 2nd language and I started studying it in high school.  I majored in Spanish alongside biology.  It's now been about 10 years or so that I have studied Spanish (unfortunately…"

Cameron replied to Unseen's discussion 'Should we nip the catness out of cats?'
"I would find cats much less interesting if they behaved similarly to dogs.  I am both a cat lover and a dog lover, but it's because they are both entirely different creatures in terms of temperament/personality.  To be honest,…"

About Me:
I'm a fairly new atheist in Smalltown, Midwest.
Why are you here?
The conversations look interesting and I wanted to jump in. I also thought it would be great to post some things every once in a while.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
A nagging suspicion in the back of my mind, study of biology, watching the poop show of religious nuts trying to tell me they know what I should do with my body and who I should love.
