I'm 19 years old and from Lafayette, Louisiana. I'm attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and majoring in Secondary English Education.
I love music and photography a lot. I'm a friendly person and I'm never one to judge so easily. I love making new friends and learning new things.
In a Relationship
Why are you here?
I grew up in southern Louisiana where religion is like a cult. My family considers themselves Catholic, but they never go to church. I grew up in the religion, but never understood it. My mother put me in the religion classes and I’ve been kicked out nearly every year for “causing a disturbance” because I thought being there was a complete waste of my time.
When my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, that’s when I knew I had to stop believing in something that justified taking innocent lives or making people suffer to “bring them to a better place”. Before my grandmother died, I told her how I was an atheist. Unlike my friends, she understood.
Today, when people realize that I’m an atheist, I get sarcastic remarks and some people go as far as to attack what I believe, but I simply shrug it off and go about my business.

Think Atheist Travel Network Couch Availability - Are you able to host anyone now?
Hi Brittney, welcome to Think Atheist! It's a warm fuzzy to me every time I hear of someone that is going to be a teacher. If you feel like it post up some of your favorite photographs that you took. I like photography too although I am not very good at it!
