"I would continue being a rational skeptic. God may be all powerful, but Man, using science, have usurped (or at least challenged) God's alleged powers in several areas (Sodom and Gomorrah? Screw that, we got Nukes), so eventually we'd have…"
"Sex is pleasurable to most species, which helps enforce the act as a good thing in their minds. All the apes have pleasurable sex, chimps and Bonobos especially. Monkeys have pleasurable sex as well. Dolphins do too, and are incredibly sexual, even…"
"Like it... Must say we have recently had a change in state schooling where religion is for the first time not allowed in school. Needless to say Christians are up in arms and every second post on face book and every second group created by South…"
"Sounds like a little sister to be proud of! It must also be nice to have such an accepting church community, not all of us were so lucky growing up.

My name is Bob. I would love to get to know you. Even if you think differently!
I have no sense of smell.
I hate Thoreau and have issues with Transcendentalism.
I laugh a lot, and try to have fun in most things I do.
Why are you here?
I am an agnostic atheist, and wish to join into a community that more fully understands that style of thinking.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
I was raised Episcopalian, went to church most sundays, and went to vacation bible school, but gradually grew out of it, and stopped going to church except for Easter and Christmas. As I grew older, I became more involved with science, skepticism, and criticism of religions. As a teenager, I was an agnostic, but nowadays, after a better understanding of the workings of chemicals, as well as concepts such as emergent design, I have seen how a universe could exist without a creator, and that it makes more sense that our universe is without one. As for the Bible, I consider it how I consider any mythology: interesting stories that reveal much about the people that tell them. As for the teachings of Jesus Christ, I naturally agree with some, but not all, because several make good sense.
