- I had trouble following the all the prohibitions as a teenager that led eventually to a confrontation with my father about weather I would continue to attend church with him. I chose to leave the church at 15 and spent the next 5 years as a non church goer. I didn't really consider my standing on belief until my early 20's I began to examine what I had been taught and realized that it did not match up to what I had observed about the world around me. In the end I started to identify myself as an Atheist at around the age of 25 and i have not looked back.
