A Life-Changing Confrontation

Posted on October 23, 2014 at 2:55am 17 Comments

There is an abuser from my past who I have decided to confront. To sum it up succinctly, He is the man who has sexual relations with me as a minor, and basically used me for many years.

He is currently finishing (another) prison sentence in recovery. He claims to be a Christian. I know better. He is a sociopath.

I want to confront him. I need to do so for my own closure's sake.

I don't even know where to start. I know I am going to write him a… Continue

Aftermath

Posted on September 20, 2014 at 2:42am 10 Comments

I'm in the midst of a deep depression, and I have been trying to figure out why. I know why. Every little mile stone time wise is a reminder of the 2nd child I would have had... And perhaps the only other child I would have had...

I have had a very hard time with this because I know the people on TA would say (did say) it was for the best. I already have one abusive baby's daddy to contend with for the rest of my life, I didn't need a bipolar homicidal rapist in addition to that.… Continue

Posted on September 8, 2014 at 1:25am 0 Comments

"In the Buddhist context nirvana refers to the stillness of mind after the fires of desire, aversion, and delusion have been finally extinguished" A still mind does not necessarily need to be without conflict, worry, doubt, or even feeling. It doesn't mean that you've reached some kind of metaphorical floating on clouds, or earthly heaven. It doesn't mean you are necessarily even happy.

When you suddenly realize the simplicity of life...And the simplicity of yourself. When you… Continue

Self-Awarenss: The only way to recover

Posted on August 20, 2014 at 2:54am 1 Comment

I have come to realize that not everything about me can be changed. I had hopes that I would one day be "healed"......I will never be healed. But I will be self-aware.

I have given up the notion that my brain will heal and go back to a pre-trauma state. I suppose it could happen if I continue down my road to recovery, but I can no longer "wait" to be "healed" before I start living life again. I have lost precious years of my life. I have blocks of my life that I do not remember, but… Continue
