June 22
I guess in the case of atheism keep your eyes peeled to the car bumpers, I've seen a flying spaghetti monster bumper magnet and a sticker that said "proud atheist" or something to that effect, don't feel like your alone out there guys.

that would be great...I know of one other atheist here in Pinedale...

someday, we'll have to try to organize something though. hmmm

honestly it's unlikely that I'll make it out there anytime soon I work every other weekend and my brother is coming home from china so I'll probably be doing family stuff on my weekends off but on the bright side there will be another atheist in wyo…

I've actually met a few outright atheists I think the problem is religion is one of those off limits subjects to most people. I think if there was an atheist club it definetly would attract more people than we know, anyone else in the casper area?
May 27
is hoping for a good weather filled Memorial Weekend!

chris babcock and Ashley Moltzan are now friends

Yeah true, I think many are closet atheists anyways and easiest to get people to open up online. would be cool if there was still an atheist club anywhere in wyoming to just have fun events to all converse with eachother and have potluck dinners and…

honestly I think you'd be suprised at the amount of people you can meet around here that at least have an open mind to atheism, if you don't approach a conversation as a means of deconversion just honest dialouge people seem to respect it in these p…

Kind of slow here in Wyoming. When you only have 6 people in an area 3/4 the size of Germany the possibility of encounter is small. And as few and far between as we are our voices often are just voices in the wind with nothing to hear them.

Prayers

My brother has cancer. Many friends/family tell me they are praying for him and for us and keeping him in their prayers. I never know the appropriate response to that besides an awkward "Thank you?". Any suggestions?

Scientology/Work

So where I live in Rock Springs, WY Scientologists attempted to build a vault nearby but didn't file for any permits. I work at the newspaper. Now a reporter is going to do a follow-up story. What drives me crazy is when Scientology is mocked, sometimes I just want to say all religions are just as crazy and unbelievable. Yeah Scientology may be more far fetched and more deadly and money sucking. But all religions are to a certain degree, just some more than others on your own subjective scale.

Unwrapped a Christian Book

So unwrapped all my Christmas gifts. My aunt, my godmother when I was baptized Catholic, gave me the book The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. Back says it traces authors journey from atheism to faith. Looks interesting. I will definitely read it though to read it and see what it says and then see how I can argue against its points. My aunt also wrote a page letter in the inside cover to me. It says: "This is a book that I am in the process of reading - I hope you'll join me. I feel it is my duty… Continue

Facebook Mistake...Christmas :-(

So forgetting my dad had a Facebook account, I listed myself as atheist on my account. I am 23 and live with my boyfriend a town away from them. I thought nothing of it until my parents said it was their greatest disappointment seeing me listed as atheist. Now it's almost Christmas. I want to hang out with them and have fun. And I like going to church just for the music only at Christmastime although they would hate that reason. They say they may confront me and boyfriend about our atheism. We c… Continue

This actually is a rather good site. I post rss threads from it. They do an excellent job of making "fundies" look completely ridiculous
