I am a self employed father of one and enjoy people and reading.
Why are you here?
To make friends without fear of rejection over a variance of opinion and to learn how others have coped with typical issues faced by non believers.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
At the age of about 12 I started seriously questioning how a loving creator could be so petty and evil. I then began asking questions which when answered by clergymen gave rise to more questions. My parents were no more helpful and did not appear to know very much either other than there was a God.
Naturally, I began to search for God and spoke with a Rabbi a Baptist minister and later moved onto spiritulism for proof at least of an afterlife. I then discovered "cold reading" which destroyed any hope of finding his highness.
At age 18 after being an agnostic for some time I Started reading about Evolution and Athiesm and today I have many books by Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins to name 2 of the prominent influences.
