Why you left your religion.
While still a Christian, I decided that one should be good regardless of rewards or punishments in the afterlife. Also, I couldn't believe that some Christians would go to hell over differences in doctrine -- what, if some hick pastor in the sticks had the only correct interpretation of the Bible, only his parishioners would go to heaven? But the main reason I left Christianity, and supernaturalism in general, was the writings of C.S. Lewis. He convinced me that one should follow the argument wherever it led, and he sensitized me to the importance of mythology. Then I saw Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth on PBS. It took years, and many books like Atheism: the Case Against God, but I finally realized the truth.
