Aliqs Suguitan replied to Aaron A's discussion 'IS there a good argument for religion???'
"The answer is NONE. I have never found any good argument for any religion. I hope you can find a good argument in your fishing expedition. Good luck, Aaron"

Aliqs Suguitan replied to Professor Tanhauser's discussion 'What's the difference between islam and christianity?'
"The difference is the subject of emphasis. Jesus emphasizes love. His supreme commandment is, "Love God with all that is in you, and love your neighbor as yourself." Mohammad emphasizes the spread of Islam: by subterfuge (Arabic Taqiyya)…"

Aliqs Suguitan commented on Claudia Mercedes Mazzucco's blog post 'Letter to a Muslim Atheist'
"Has anyone studied the holy Qur'an? If you did tell me that this is true. Where the Sharia law can be imposed, an atheist or any non Muslim infidel has 3 options: 1. To convert to Islam, and do all a Muslim must do, including: Pray 5 times a…"

Aliqs Suguitan replied to Jason D. Johnson's discussion 'If America Became A Theocracy: WWUD?'
"In an American Christian Theocracy, atheism will be tolerated. Christians have learned to tolerate us atheists. It is in a Muslim Theocracy where we will be hunted down like dogs. The way Muslims are relentlessly pursuing their avowed aim to rule…"

Aliqs Suguitan replied to Jason D. Johnson's discussion 'If America Became A Theocracy: WWUD?'
"What would rather have a Christian theocracy in America or a Muslim theocracy?  Christian theocracy has no chance of revival.  However, the way Muslims are insidiously working,  I will not be surprised if parts of the Sharia Law will…"

Aliqs Suguitan replied to Jason D. Johnson's discussion 'If America Became A Theocracy: WWUD?'
"America will definitely become theocratic. -  not Christian but a Muslim Theocracy.  The way Muslims relentlessly pursue their aim to rule the world, it is not a question of if, but when, Islam will take over America.  Then, the Law…"

Aliqs Suguitan replied to Reg The Fronkey Farmer's discussion 'To blazes with Pascal'

Aliqs Suguitan replied to Reg The Fronkey Farmer's discussion 'To blazes with Pascal'

Aliqs Suguitan replied to Reg The Fronkey Farmer's discussion 'To blazes with Pascal'

About Me:
I want to believe in God because I do not think death is the ultimate end. But I can not believe in an anthropomorphic god as Theists do. The concept of god, by necessity, reflects of the conceiver's mind. A Jew would conceive of a god like Yahweh. Man puts into the concept of God the highest ideal there is. Man's highest ideals has something to do with good, justice and love, in all shades of meaning these words can have.

If there is a god, He must embody the ultimate goodness, be perfectly just, and be infinite love. If He/She/It is infinite love He (for simplicity) cannot bear to let me be forever away from Him in Hell. Therefore, Hell is not possible if God is perfect love. But if He is perfectly just, can He allow those who commit injustice to go unpunished? Definitely not. But what of those who rob, kill, step on the shoulders of others, then die rich? The Hindu/Buddhist concept of Karma may be the answer. "You will not enter heaven until you are perfect like my Father is", so I say. Your sins will be erased only after you have suffered the same pain from the hands of others. You will keep being reborn until you have learned all your lessons and, thus, become perfect Love as God is.

The concept of reincarnation has been reached independently by independent thinkers in the West. The law of Karma is the only law consistent with the concept of God as perfect justice, and perfect love.

Why are you here?
I believe religion is the greatest scourge in the history of mankind. Spanish Inquisition. Salem witch hunts. 9/11. Taqiyya. Belfast. It has given man the right to kill and destroy in the name of God, to impose his belief on others.

My fervent wish is for Theists or Religionists to mend their ways. If curiosity brings them to this website, my 1 1/2 cents worth might help convince them to the American way.
The religion you left
Christian, Catholic, Buddhism
Why you left your religion.
Members of a religion claim that if you do not believe as they do, you are wrong. God as the father/mother of all cannot possibly play favorites. There is no chosen people. The Bible, Koran, and the Bhagavad Gita are not the only books. If He spoke to the prophets, He can also speak to me. I am an Atheist because I do not believe in your concept of god.

No, I see no evidence for any gods. Whenever I think of a god, be it a being or a force, I also think of the 16,000 children of the world that die by starving to death each and every day. It's not the fault of any god, but it is swiftly becoming the fault of humanity's negligence and ignorance.

No disrespect intended toward you, but I feel if some creative, balancing force/god were present, surely this would be witnessed throughout the world. Karma? Unlikely imo.
