My name is Adam Harder, I'm a 20 year-old Broadcast Journalism major and Kent State University. It's 12:23am and I'm really tired with a test at 9am so I'm going to spell this out as simply as possible. About me: I like nature, all things outdoors like snowboarding and you give me some woods to hike through I'm a happy camper...literally. Death Cab for Cutie and The Shins are THE bands to listen to in my apartment. Chipotle is my diet, but I have the metabolism of a rodent and workout every day so it'd good. Ran track for Kent State, and a brother in Phi Sigma Kappa, am about to be in the Air Force and you better believe damn right I'm an atheist. That's that...no one will probably ever read this but if you do, then I'm very astounded at that. Not sure how this site works but if you're reading this get a hold of me somehow; I'm a broadcast major...mass communication is what I'm about so I'd love to hear from you.
Why are you here?
Because I come from a very religious society where I'm from, luckily I'm in college now and not so many people are blinded by the primitive stranglehold of religion and this seems like a great way to learn more about atheism. I don't join a group like this so much to learn what i already know isn't true (religion), but to further my exploits against it. Solidify my reasons so that I can spell them out for others so that maybe they too will stop wasting their time.
The religion you left
Why you left your religion.
It wasn't so much my hatred toward religion that made me leave it other than the fact that it just seemed stupid. Not just "God" persay, but any idea of religion. It is all dumb. I'm a firm believer in science and seeing things to believe them and i live a good life without anyone elses spiritual beliefs but a belief in myself. If i say I'm a hand's-on learner I don't only mean that half the time, proof is proof. Stupid ideas are stupid ideas, and i choose not to be a part of them.
