Why are you here?

I was raised in an entirely religious family and I just kind of broke away as I learned more and more. Now I'm stuck in Arkansas, surrounded by bigotry and I just decided to join, hoping the community here can help me retain my sanity.

Why you left your religion.

Everyone in my family claims to follow one denomination of Christianity or another. I was always forced into it. My dad's neglect of church made me want to stay home and watch football with him. The church and my family slowly lost their hold on my brain as they pushed even harder to MAKE me interested. I began questioning things and searching for explanations other than what the churches told me to take unquestionably.
