I know what you mean, all too often, Unseen's comments require not only a translation, but a Surgeon General's Warning, but I've spent the past year learning his primitive language, consisting largely of grunts and pointing, and feel qualified to act as a translator. Sometimes, if you're really lucky, you can just give him a cookie and he goes away --

@Simon: It isn't really me taking it in any way, it is me pointing out that you are trivializing a difficult debate. As for women having sex and taking advantage of their sexual capital, that's something I wholeheartedly support. It's a bit different from the epitaph, which is usually lobbed if cheating, lying, or stealing of some sort has been involved. 

I think it would be better to have a calm debate over what women can do to minimize their probability of being victimized, and I would reiterate that choice of clothing and level of alcohol/drug consumption would be relevant points in such a debate. None of us here are in any way supportive of rape or lack sympathy with victims, but that doesn't subtract from the potential of  analyzing the situational factors which led up to the events for commonalities.

I agree Arcus that rape prevention should be the onus here, but be wary of analyzing anything involving an emotionally-charged subject on this thread - we don't need another conflagration!
