I so agree with this. 20 hours in surgery an army of Dr's and nurses, millions of dollars of equipment and you open your ungrateful, superstitious eyes and praise god for your recovery...really? what a dick

I love this! I get so annoyed whenever I hear people praise god for anything good that happens, rather than give credit where it's actually due. Yet if something bad happens you never hear those same people say "you know, god, you can be such a bastard at times, I don't think I want to be your friend anymore"!

Reminds me of the account of the assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II in 1981 when he attributed his survival to the intervention of "Our Lady of Fatima"... Come on mate so the top team of surgeons who operated on you for six hours had nothing to do with it? Oh of course, 'Our Lady' guided them as well... yet decided to not let the bullet miss you entirely.

Why is this such an uphill battle.
