I remember seeing a reply to this statement in a YouTube comment that read: "Actually, we're all born apatheists." Apatheism is a portmanteau word of apathym, atheism and theism. It means acting with apathy, disregard, or lack of interest towards belief or disbelief in a deity. After all, the baby doesn't make a cognitive choice to disbelieve in a deity or deities. Apatheism would seem more accurate, but probably not entirely so. Perhaps what is in need is a neologism.
Some people view their children as a means of immorality in that they teach their values, right or wrong to their children. It has an impression of them of whatever, but they forget that they are not them, as the parents quickly find out. They have their own agenda as the parents of teenagers and even the stubbornness of toddlers show. It's a shame that the parents teach often crap to their kids but I don't know what can be done about the internal workings of a family if anything.
