A novel solution to the overpopulation problem.
Not to mention a universe which is expanding away from the Earth at breakneck speed. We're just a planet in a solar system close to the edge of the Milky Way galaxy. That galaxy is one of more than 100,000,000,000. And supposedly God chose to make Earth special? What about all the other planets in the universe with life on them? Did Jesus show up there as well? Or do they have their own Son of God who, on a planet where the intelligent life is a form of pond scum is himself pond scum.
The circle there is a teensy bit too small as it doesn't include any part of the Nile (thus leaving out parts of Exodus) and none of Mesopotamia (thus leaving out a lot of stuff that happened during the captivity, cf. Daniel). And of course Xians will claim credit for much of the area of the Roman Empire.
[And "they" will claim that the whole world was encompassed by Noah's flood and the whole Universe was encompassed by Genesis 1--but the writers of the OT get no credit for saying "this is worldwide" or "universe-wide" when its clear from the rest of what they say that they had no fricking idea what the scope of that is. The only reason this claim makes sense to them is they are assuming that when the bible says "the whole world" it should be taken as literally meaning so, but that assumption is precisely the problem.]
But the larger point remains. Certainly not one word of the Bible would indicate knowledge of Australia, much less North and South America or Antarctica. Or Uranus. Or the Galilean satellites.
