@Marc: It won't work on certain displays depending on the technology employed.  I can move to any angle on mine, and the text won't appear.  It's actually only straight on that I can view faint traces of the text. Fortunately Photoshop cures my curiosity.

 

Still a fun concept though.

If you have a matte screen you will not see it. If you have a glossy laptop screen you will see it when you push your screen back 20 degrees.

Nice trick. Edge detection in Gimp made it readable for me.
