Bad logic - Because even if they DID invent it, doesn't give them the right to define it.

Yep, the Catholic church has even married same sex couples a few times in the past. It just wasn't an issue in differnet times. The obsession with m/f marriage might be more of response to lgbt visibility. I dunno?

Christianity is guilty of adopting many pagan practices into it's ceremonies. Pagan symbolism is rampant in catholicism with the largest obelisk (origin- Sun god Ra) I have ever gazed upon placed upon the back wall inside St Paul's cavernous cathedral in Rome. Swoping rings is grounded in paganism.

According to the Bible a marriage is defined as being between one man and his wives, concubines, and slave girls. Plus family members is fair game too as Lott demonstrated.....
