I really miss Stargate. It was probably the best Sci-Fi series ever.

I hate to appear to be a "grammar Nazi" as the saying goes but to say "used science to disprove false gods" implies there are true gods and no one here is silly enough to along with that. :-)

This is going to turn into a long game where no one wins.

As for the show, I only really watched the first couple of seasons and the original movie.  Sure, much of the 'science' in that show is pure fantasy, yet it was still more plausible than the original myths, was much more entertaining, and was never intended to be taken as seriously.  SGFTW.

They were very biblical about it. They disproved false gods while believing in a god themselves. That always pissed me off about this series.
