You are right archy about the hierarchy of needs, what I don't understand is why people who are in almost as similar position as mine, for example my many classmates who have jobs, are to a great extent comfortable still hold on to woo that every time we have this discussion they all, to the individual, become very emotional on the subject. They feel like by pointing out the inconsistencies in their worldview I have attacked them personally.

And thank you and Suzzanne for the kind words

Onyango, you're still my role model for when I face adversity :)

You are right archy, but if it is the same system of education, it will take longer to put even a small dent on superstition in this country even among those who are university graduates.

Simple and factual. I love it!

@Arch:  "basically the same crap"  - please tell me it isn't so.  I wouldn't like to think there are two of them.  Is that what this is about?

Good.  That's what I want to hear.

Women have carried out both murders and rapes, so that's a non-sequitor.  I know you've stated that you do not feel antipathy towards men, but many of your posts declare that to be.... not perhaps as true as you'd like it to be.

Good men ARE most definitely vital for children, and women. But even more important, is for good 'people' to involved with children - hetero, gay, whatever, We need the good men on our side - it is the only way that women will move forward - and more and more men realise this stupidity and injustice - keep down fifty percent of any population - it is bad for business, it is bad for psyche,it is bad for children. Give me an Atheist over any christian - Atheists have nothing to hide - what you see is what you get - no 'Wall of Good'; no cross, no islam to hide behind. Judge them on what you see, how they act, are they honorable, honest ethical, kind. Until religions get behind women - instead of passing them off as second class citizens - and walk behind and support their 'man - bullshit - and I am not saying there are not manipulate, horrendous, women out there - but single women slagging off the father of the children - how many men leave their children in the dust - to go shag another woman. Been there - done that - and he was a xian to boot - church every sunday, blah de blah.I don't blanket statement anybody or anything- bad women, sure, but more bad men, we need all the good ones we can get, and there are many on this site.

Time for religion and misogynists to catch up - it is not twelfth century anymore, but in many countries - it seems like it.

Single mothers - help them, help their children - they are behind the eight ball right from the start. Stressed single mothers, Absolutely, have to get a job to put food on the table, have to get the kids educated, have to appear as normal as possible, and all with trying to do the right thing, and not slag off at the biological father, when he is a hypocrite of the first order. Difficult to do, but it was done. To my detriment. By not being honest, hurt my children much more than telling them the truth.
