And look, there's a girl.
What a stunning creature--the horse not the two girls.
The horse ain't bad, either.
Seriously, what is that color called? I don't think I've seen that color before.
My first reaction was, is it a variation on Palomino? But I don't think so. This horse is one color and Palominos typically have two: golden body with very light brown or white mane and tail.
And what breed is it?
@Angela, I think the horse's head is a bit small and pointy. I just don't know what to call the color. I've never seen it before.
It's awfully slender, but the ribs aren't showing, so I don't think it's starving.
I think it is a palomino. The reason he looks oddly 'slender' is that he would appear to have been given a very close cut, perhaps a 'number 1' on a gentleman's shaver. The result gives the coat a sheen, exacerbated by the tone of the horse skin showing through. The sun is very low and bright, as can be seen by the sharpness of the shadows - this would also give his coat an exaggerated shine.
You may be right, though it's a rather extreme example in terms of the coloration. Usually the body is clearly a different color than the mane and tail.
They shave horses? As Johnny Carson used to say, "I did not know that."
If you look at the top of the horse, where a saddle would go, you can see the coat colour without the reflection of the light, and then the contrast is a lot more apparent. The horse doesn't seem to be shod, and that is a show-bridle, there's no band across the nose or down the side of the cheek.
I think this young dude's job is to look pretty, and that's about it.
They don't call it a shave, they call it a clip - same difference.
BTW, this breed, Akhal-Teke, is known for its ability to stand cold weather. It is also regarded as one of the earliest known breeds. Their slender/fine look is one of their characteristics. Weird, because one would think that a stockier horse would make a better horse to tolerate cold winters.

When you drink water, how is it distributed around the body?
