It's a human rights issue. Does not matter what country you happen to be born in or which religion is forced upon you. The countries that deny women their human rights are full of weak men.
Science and Islam? A contradiction of terms, can you say both in the same sentence?
You can grammatically do so if you phrase it as a contradiction, e.g., "There is no science in Islam"
Anything else would get you a visit from the Grammar Nazis.
What increases earthquakes? Adultery? Mr Geologist , the earth is still flat? No wonder.....
They're all Saudi psychologists at a symposium on Freud's famous "What do women want?" question.
You know, for a few hundred years the Muslim world was the most scientifically-advanced society on Earth, much of their knowledge being pooled from their contact with Greek and Indian scholars, though they made many advances of their own.
Then, something happened. I'm not sure what.
The fundies kicked up a ruckus. Recent events of course have no resemblance to this whatsoever. No Sirree.
