surprising that you even believe it to post it. My comment to your statement would be that neither is there a God neither is there a Devil. and foolish are the people who believe that unrecordable history can be recorded. The truth is that all religions have something good in them. for those who can discern for themselves without believing in God and do good do not need the help of a religion, but those who always need to attach themselves to something, only they need a religion.

True that.

Saying "Satan is more powerful than God" is like saying "Evil is more powerful than good"

There is no original sin, Eve made the only logical choice so that man could progress and evolve. Yes.... I said EVOLVE....ewwww.  "We believe that man will be punished for his own sins and not for Adams transgression."

All man is saved and will live again, that is a free gift, salvation and exaltation are not the same.

God didn't develop the plan on his own, we were all there, those that agreed on the plan came to earth, those that didn't were cast out.

Sorry, with your closed mind you might never understand what Christ has done for you...

Again, all mankind will be "Saved" if that's what you want to call it

I'm sorry, you're very confused and don't know what you are talking about...

If you don't believe in God, that's fine, just don't mock what you don't understand...

@Kelly - You see. This is the problem with the religious. Any type of atheist analogy, assessment, or assumption about religion that religious folks disagree with is immediately “mocking”. You may disagree with Mr Matthew’s analogy, but in what way is it “mocking”? Let me guess – you probably get offended with the “You know it’s just a myth” atheist campaign posters as well. How about you just disagree with him? Let’s not go overboard with the “ohhh, I’m offended by that”. Please – there is nothing offensive about this poster. Do you see atheist going around – pretending to be “offended” that you believe Jesus visited America. No you don’t. We disagree with you but we are not offended or think you are mocking our viewpoint – p.s. – we don’t believe Jesus visited America.

"God didn't develop the plan on his own, we were all there, those that agreed on the plan came to earth, those that didn't were cast out."

How exactly did you come by this information?

Really, Kelly?  Really?  Maybe you're a troll - good job if you are.  If you're really believing what you've said, why in the world are you reading anything at an atheist site, never mind posting your condescending, vapid nonsense?

Do you think we will suddenly say, "Oh my.  I've researched and thought about what I believe or don't believe for decades, and am firm in my stance, but some yahoo says I don't know what Christ has done for me so I'm going to change my mind?"

I would never try to convince you that your beliefs aren't true.  Well;.. unless you asked me to, that is.  Where do you come up with the audacity to blithely say what I believe is false?   Never mind.  I don't really want to know.  Please go find someone who is actually looking for your god and educate him or her.

As for the mocking, please don't assume we don't know about what is being "mocked."  Atheist know much more about religion than you may think.  We are not ignorant.

Kelly is being mocked - someone just called her foolish.  She's being mocked to shit.

She's a Christian, not a troll.  She seems perfectly nice and polite to me.  She's got the guts to come on here and speak up for what she believes.

How insecure are you?  Can't you take a little polite opposition?  We're being rude to a guest.

Now Kelly has the right to go back to her Christian friends and tell them what a bunch of angry children we are.

awesome presentation of the lunacy called the holy bible!!

Simon, if you're talking to me, I can see your point.  However, I am very frequently subjected to much more than a little polite opposition.  Not here, but in my real life... daily.  I am tired of it!  I am sick of having Christians tell me " I'm sorry, you're very confused and don't know what you are talking about... If you don't believe in God, that's fine, just don't mock what you don't understand..."  So, she can say I'm confused and ignorant, and that's being polite?  I'm confused.

Maybe my response to Kelly could have been toned back a bit, and I should speak for myself.  The irony here is that I have somewhere in the back of my mind how important it is to not give Christians the impression you say my response gave Kelly.

I've had many successes at that but sometimes I fall short.

Kelly is indeed being mocked, and I'll agree she has some guts.  But strongly disagree that she was being polite.

I DO think we could be a little more light-hearted on this site from time to time, or simply "loosen up" about things.  But It *IS* rude to wander into this forum and make statements such as hers, just as it would be for us to go to a Xtian site and proselytize.

She can go tell her friends whatever she wants/believes about us - but as a guest in "our house", she should learn better manners or expect to have her opinions derided as condescending and vapid.
