Religious people can only be moral under limited circumstances. They can never state equivocally, "This is wrong." They can only say "this is wrong in this case," or "This is wrong now," because if God had commanded it, it would no longer be wrong.

I see your point, but I believe they can. However only despite their religion, and certainly not because of it.  I know a Christian youth worker who even comes to the defence of homosexuals.  I think she is a good person by being a bad Christian in cases like this.
