What he says is absolute truth. If you deny provable fact, you are ignorant.
Comment by Nathan Kapusta on September 25, 2012 at 5:28pm Beautiful.
Comment by matt.clerke on September 25, 2012 at 7:20pm The fourth option is lying.
Comment by SteveInCO on September 25, 2012 at 11:13pm You could say the same for the 4.5+ billion year old earth (and in fact once one has accepted evolution, they have to accept an old earth anyway).
He looks a bit peeved in that one.
No surprise. I can't imagine how he makes it through the 1,245,344 time of having to explain to some tard that evolution is not 'by accident', we did not descend from chimpanzees, etc.
And oh yes "please go to the museum the evidence is there" answered by ".. you haven't shown me the evidence because there is none."
Comment by Grady Jean on September 26, 2012 at 10:39am I used to work with an asshole who had convinced himself that Evolution didn't exist, Fossil Records proved Evolution was wrong, and most scientists actually agreed that Evolution was wrong.
Comment by Codie L Miller on September 26, 2012 at 11:03am I was once told by an old lady at a church when I was little that fossils were put here by satan to try and stray us away from god. Oh My, the stupidity.
Comment by Dale Headley on September 26, 2012 at 2:14pm Come on now! Would you call someone who believed 2+2=5 stupid, ignorant, or insane? Maybe he/she just had a lousy math teacher. Likewise maybe someone who doesn’t believe in evolution simply had an American science teacher, if you get my drift.
Only if they have not been educated on the subject. Of course if you gain all your knowledge from the bible or understand Evolution but try to suggest intelligent design should be taught instead then yes, RD is correct. Evolution is knowledge based and is not a matter of faith. It is a fact whether or not a theists "believe" it.
Comment by Doug Reardon on September 26, 2012 at 10:10pm Ignorance is still ignorance if your schooling was fallacious.
Comment by Michael on September 27, 2012 at 1:12am Dawkins violates critical thinking with that statement. It is easily falsiable, I am sure that he is just peeved.
Comment by SteveInCO on September 27, 2012 at 8:00am Easy? OK Big Guy "falsify" it. And since it's so easy I imagine your response will be brief.
(By the way "falsifiable" simply means it's disprovable in principle if some hypothetical piece of evidence were to turn up, not that it's false. I am assuming you really meant "easily disproved." You may be wondering what the difference is. Well to take an example, evolution is falsifiable, because there is all sorts of hypothetical evidence that would disprove it instantly if that evidence actually turned up, such as the famous example of rabbit fossils in the Cambrian. There are countless things you could come up with, but none has actually been seen. But since that evidence has not turned up, it is not false, it is not disproved.)
