Yes, it is a real quote.  Not only that, but it drew a torrent of angry invective against Obama from the right; because they DO believe that religious freedom means their right to tell the rest of us how to live.  Mitt Romney's fellow Mormons in California, for instance, believed that it was their right and duty to get a law passed that dictates moral standards for all Californians - moral standards that must conform to their religious beliefs.

The religious right should celebrate, but watch their backs, an atheist voting majority could be fun..

I have known some very dear loving christians in my time, these are the ones I would love to share the world with. But there are others that use their religion as a bludgening weapon, and will go out of their way to be cruel to others that do not share thier appreciation for slogans and BS. Sadly, I have had run ins with this bunch more times than the other group..;p(.

Hmm. Christians might look at atheists protesting prayer in governmental contexts, creches on the town hall lawn, etc., as trying to impose our view on them. Not agreeing with them. I'm just sayin'...
