"The Bible is like no other 'religious' book in that those who answer God's call are blessed with the discernment to ferret out what is true or not.  Have at it..."

I imagine a devout and fervent Muslim would say the same about the Quran. What makes the Bible so different in your opinion?

Absolutely love this analogy!

That's an analogy I've never heard before; but a damn good one.

Isn't a priest, preacher, etc the teacher? The Gods are the authors?

The priests, preachers, etc are part of the body of the Teacher.

Priest and preachers are students with just enough pretentiousness to think they know which book is which... ironically there is no teacher so its probably just a matter of time before one of the students starts the class on fire hoping they get milk and cookies after they burn

This is awesome. It's not often that I hear something new about religion...

"Wholly" concur? But you're right, the teacher never arrives. Class dismissed...

Awesome, I got a good laugh out of that one. Of course there are those that will always follow the shepherd. He in turn will watch out for them and keep away the wolves. So that later they can all be lead to slaughter.
