It is really too bad that the tree was busy. If it had actually felt hurt, a simple limb sheading might have eliminated a great deal of world history. Sadly the Romans might still be in power, but with nuclear weapons and much better togas. Oh, just maybe that could be wrong, did the 'Romans' actually die out/leave?

So the tree didn't give a fig, hey? That's kind of funny...

And if Jesus said "may no-one eat your fruit again" how come the Christians still eat figs?

Jesus spoke in parables all the time. The fig tree is the person that does not bear fruits of righteous and he will be judge on Judgement Day, When the principalities and powers of the air will be judge along with all mortals they have misguided. These principalities masquerade as false gods, aliens, UFOs, the spirits of dead people, hauntings, speaking in tongues, Pentacostal/Charismatic phenomena, and Mary Apparitions.

One day when religion dies out, we will miss these lunatic ramblings.

Where does the Bible explain this, Michael?

Hey, Mikey - you left out Christians and other theists!

There are many similar parables where Jesus give the explanation to the disciples. Trees are often used to represent people. the misguiding principaliities are spoken about in the epistles.

Satan is able to transform himself into an Angel of Light.

At some point in everyone life they will experience a strange and bizarre phenomenon that they will keep to themselves, so that people won't think they are crazy. But those that come forward are drowned out by the prankters on the internet and in the media.
