Are you guys saying that I can't believe there's no elephant in my living room? I don't see any evidence of one, so I have no problem defending that belief. Or are you saying I can't really have a belief regarding the absence of that elephant?

We're saying that believing that there is no elephant in your living room is not the same type of thing as believing there is. It's not two things on the same spectrum. They may function on the same idea, but they are two different things. Believing comes with an entire set of behaviors. Not believing, though it vaguely stems from the same idea, has no behaviors associated with it, therefore it's not the same thing. A similar thing, maybe. I'll allow for that, but not the same thing.

Claiming that Islam, Christianity, and Atheism are all the same thing, but on different parts of the spectrum, is like saying that Gamma, Infrared, and rocks are all part of the same spectrum. One of these things just doesn't belong here.

And yet, "I don't believe that God exists" and "I believe that God does not exist" still mean exactly the same thing. If they don't, then what is the difference in MEANING?

To assert that God doesn't exist and yet maintain that you don't believe that God doesn't exist is just absurd. You've handed the religious folks bit of nonsense they can make fun of.

I have seen Unseen and he looks a little like a cross between Taggart from Eureka and Edison Carter from a show that played in the late 1980's.

I have seen Unseen, I travelled the road less travelled, I stopped the unstoppable force and broke through the unbreakable barrier. What will you do today?

Ask you for empirical evidence, of course.  How do you know you didn't see some actor guy that the real Unseen prepared for just that moment of your 'meeting'...?

@Melvinotis - I prefer to be called The Unseen. Taggart/Edison Carter is played by Canadian actor Matt Frewer. Personally, I don't see the resemblance.

Matt Frewer is Max Headroom, your avatar. A little joke.

I think you are all software simulations in my computer. :D

@Melvinoti - Yah, I know. I don't see any physical resemblance between my avatar (MF) and me. That's what I was trying to say.
