I don't get it.

OOOH I get it now, LOL. I thought the cartoon stick guys should have been reversed, LOL. I thought, "aren't new atheists more prone to shut up and old atheists louder about their beliefs?" Wrong "new atheist" concept, LOL....carry on folks. :)

Belle, in the past atheists were generally quiet because there were serious laws associated with blasphemy and that sort of thing. Nowadays, atheists don't have to stay quiet so we are actually talking back when people tell us to stay quiet. Also, people are calling this latest "wave" of atheism "New Atheism" to distinguish it from the old atheism.

Yah, I got it now. I saw the word, "new atheists," and thought, "cool, that would be me!" And was a little confused. I thought it was an artist typo, lol....

I still can’t get myself arrested for blasphemy even after confessing to the local police that I openly blaspheme against many of the Gods that they don’t believe in. Time for a new T-shirt I think.

Campaign in Ireland.

@Reg - new T-shirt design?  Coming up, sir...

Thanks - Strega - I am trying to think of one that is vague. One that the Theist will read their own meaning into but that I can explain to the Judge and the national newspapers actually means something else. Of course I will complain as dramatically as possible about having to swear on that book of theirs when it is presented to me. Imagine being sent to jail for my lack of beliefs. I can dream I suppose :-)……

Put Horus on a cross with a "one true God" label. That will confuse them

After I spilled the beans about being atheist, my grandma was all, "I'm not trying to convert you, but....(insert two hour argument about my conversion)... I can see you're not open to other ways of looking at God. Well, let's agree to never talk about this again."

And immediately, I was all, "No. I'm going to talk about it if I feel like it. I'm not ashamed of being an atheist. It's a part of my life and I'm not going to hide it."

I can't remember ever being so direct and firm about going against her. But anything else would be intolerable. Thank you, new atheists!
