The Professional seemed like a prepubescent version of "la femme nakita." Gary Oldman was disturbingly good.

Maybe I think someone who's unaware of a talented actress and, having never seen her apparently, calls her a mere entertainer, as if she's some streetcorner juggler...maybe I do feel sorry for such a person.

I think it was Roger Ebert who, after seeing Portman in both The Professional and in Beautiful Girls opined that the sexiest girl in Hollywood was 13 years old.
