Yes, that's my finger, and my kingsnake really is biting it. My son was snapping photos, so from those photos, I can say that this snake was attached to my finger for about 2 minutes before I extricated it from his mouth. (a dab of hand sanitizer on the snout, and he let go) That's my husband calmly sitting in the background, listening to a lecture I was giving to a group of kids and their parents. I had just said "Now, usually, every time I pick up this snake, he tries to bite me, because he smells the other snakes and lizards I've just held and thinks I'm food, but I've been lucky so far that he's never succeeded." HA! That taught me to never say never.
p.s. neither of us were the worse for wear and he went on to eat many rodents thereafter.
