There was one good thing that came out of the Great Depression - for me, at least.  My Presbyterian parents were so desperately trying to cope with the economic morass that they neglected to have me either baptized or circumcised when I was an infant.  By the time they got around to wanting me to avail myself of the opportunity to get dunked in water and have my penis assaulted, I was enough of an individual to say - loudly - NO!!!

There are many despicable things about the catholic church, this one is called Limbo, when a child dies before being baptized, and therefore still having original sin, and will never be redeemed.

A church going, kneeling with the rosary, woman, had a still born baby, was told by the priest that she had known all her life, said 'sorry, your baby will be in limbo, and will never see god.' She became an atheist on the spot, told the priest he was evil, his religion was evil, how can a baby be born with sin anyway, and then, not be eligible to go to heaven.

There are some priests who deny limbo, and others preach it, it is up to their personal preference. The catholic church wonders why they are losing so many people.

Suzanne, last I heard Pope Ratzinger abolished Limbo or something to that effect making all those who were thought to be in limbo homeless or do we say spaceless

Haha, yep, probably. I think it is probably the old priests etc, who still talk about limbo, they would have been bought up with this concept. They haven't caught up yet, as with this woman who said "Push Off."
