My Presbyterian parents were so desperately trying to cope with the economic morass that they neglected to have me either baptized or circumcised when I was an infant. By the time they got around to wanting me to avail myself of the opportunity to get dunked in water and have my penis assaulted, I was enough of an individual to say - loudly - NO!!!
