Hiya folks. This looks like a fun place!  My first ever comment:

The fake bible quotes is a great idea, and quite entertaining, but, wasn't this already done a long time ago and called the "Book of Mormon?"  Luckily, few people ever read that book either!

In keeping with the "spirit" of this thread:

I'm dead. I'm murdered. I'm killed. I'm annihilated. What will the world do without me? What will I do without myself?  The Revelations of Curly 24:7

Thanks for the laugh, Iron Shemp. I'm an ex-Mormon and graduate of Brigham Young University.

Make haste, My children, and do not wait for the foolish to catch up with you on Judgement Day. For they who wait will cry out in pain on that final day, while those who have kept watch will rejoice with gladness, for they will be forever with Me, and Me with them. [Revelation 16:3]

Pay tribute to the LORD your God so that you will live long and healthy. All those who do not fear the LORD will suffer burning of the bowels and be made to devour the remnants of their defecation. [1 Peter 2:7]

You guys are right, this is fun!

We perpetrated a similar experiment at our school(one overrun by the "Greek" thang).

We, (members of an all boys engineering dorm) created our own fraternity, initially, just to participate in an intramural league, but it grew from there. We called it Sigma Epsilon Chi, without using the symbols, simply to see how many would get the joke. Wonderfully, non-fraternity/sorority members tended to get the joke much quicker, than those involved with the Panhellenic.

This just shows that atheist can be just as dumb as Christians. This proves absolutely nothing. If someone made up a beautiful quote about the universe then credited to Carl Sagan, I would thumbs it up assuming they were telling the truth. I don't know every fucking thing that Carl Sagan said word for word, just as no Christian will ever know everything thats in the bible word for word.

If you want to do this properly, quote something evil from the bible, credit it to the Koran, and see how many Christians call it evil. Thats how you troll. This... this is just retarded. Think atheist for crying out loud!, you guys are smarter than this.

Dude Awesome (!!) I thought the phony bible-quotes were a kick. You're such a rabat-joie. But I do like your idea. Just quit being a snot-nose. // Jean Clelland-Morin

@Jean, I know, I see that I'm being a kill joy to all these people. But I am absolutely dumbfounded at how many people who think this is clever. I skimmed through all the comments and the only other person who actually saw the stupidity in this was a Christian. It really makes me sad how susceptible people are to confirmation bias. It's one of the biggest intellectual problems with religious people, and now I see it is just as strong in atheist. But, after all, were all human.

You would never hold someone to such high standards of memorization for any other form of text, whether it be law, science, or philosophy. Then why would you hold religious people to it. Absolutely ridiculous!!!
