Well.. if Jesus was "the Christ" (ie, Messiah) and is referred to as Christ Jesus or Jesus Christ and Christianity derives it's name from him... then it would make it a religion based on the Messiah. Which in turn would make Jesus a religion and the very thing he was supposed to hate.
