I don't mean to be rude, but I really hate tourists. They're like the most obnoxious people in the world. Whenever I travel somewhere, I try to look like I live right down the street. I don't stop at giftshops, I don't point at things, and I absolutely DO NOT take photographs. I find it much more enjoyable to take in the glory of a historical place without making it seem like it's there to simply entertain foreign passers by. The most satisfying thing to do when visiting a place like, say Washington DC for example, is to go to the park, or in the case of DC, the mall, and sit in the grass, under a tree, and enjoy the day. Maybe visit a museum or two.

Curious you feel the need to go out of your way to say you hate tourists. Apparently you have gone on trips and thus you were a tourist. Now what you might have been really saying is that you hate people who take pictures when they go on trips, which is kinda pointless, why be a hater? Now just about all the trips I have taken have been to visit people I know and pictures are a much better keepsake than a brochure or ticket stub, I personally think those are kinda lame.
But keep on jumping to conclusions and basing opinions on nothing you know, I'm sure no one will think you're rude.
