Interesting. Thanks for the link. I'm not sure what to think of it, however. I'm just fascinated by the fact that even that map treats the geometric points of the poles as a line, ignoring the fact that the geometric point is depicted as being equal to the circumference at the equator—about 25,000 mi/40,000 km.

A similar site, Eternal Earthbound Pets, run by an atheist made the rounds the last time the world ended. I heard a few radio interviews then where the guy joked about the whole thing.

After the Rapture is run by a xian, which makes the whole thing more sad than funny.

I'd like to start a site offering to take the life savings of anyone who proves wrong about the 2012 Mayan calendar thing. The money would be used to buy me a Bugatti, a huge yacht, and a lifetime supply of pita and hummus. Anything leftover would be donated to help reduce the deficit.
