Diane:  Prayers are at best particles that have no affect on anything; like neutrinos only more so.  They probably don't move very fast either, but then when they can't affect anything, they can't be detected and it's impossible to measure anything about them including their speed.

What if they are looking down at the earth - so that their prayer travels through the earths core into mecca?  hmmm
