the thing is is that if you actually read the verses it doesnt really mean that. im not a christian but just throwing that out there. if anyone doesnt know or doesnt read it it actually means that ur supposed to wait til ur married to have sex therefore a virgin and then afterwards your not supposed to divorce and husband and wife shall be one for eternity

Just be sure that she is not engaged or married, because that means death for you.

Michelle - Regarding your comment "it actually means that ur supposed to wait til ur married to have sex" - I interpret the verse somewhat less idealistically because the 'rules' treat virgin women as goods for trading and they loose their value when they are no longer virgins.  So if you break her you pay for her and look after her forever. If you steal her then you die. If she gives herself away then she dies.

Seems bad regardless of the interpretation. It's hard to say since the English version is a translation that may not be completely accurate with Gods intent. :)

These old books(old and new testament) and other religious books should be discarded. The 21st century has no space for them.

It's just a book I'm a sci-fi fan so I enjoyed it. Only problem is that it doesn't say who the author is so I can't find more books by the same author. Not as good as some of the better known writers and should get a better grasp of the English language. Of course that could be the fault of the translators look what they did to Tolstoy.
