I think it was used both by Gandalf to resist the Balrog and in Monte Python's movie when the "King" (John Cleese) tried to get past the Black Knight ( the Black Knight said it) and Cleese hacked him to bits.

One thing that amuses (and saddens at the same time) is that there are many xians who are a lot like that second comment guy.  They are so fucking gleeful that everyone else is going to be tortured for all eternity while they are in heaven.  It disgusts me to no end, I'm getting pissed off just thinking about it again.

@Warren - that's the scene I was referring to. But who played the Black Knight? Wasn't that also Cleese? They all played multiple roles.

Yes, it does seem a little to similar to the Roman Elite going to a gladitor show and having a nice lunch with friends, while the entertainment bleeds to death...
