Sewing is SO time-consuming - I've always been a fan of SuperGlue, myself --

Sewing comes with the added benefit of driving a needle through their lips, a way of punishing the lips for failing in their duty to prevent non-sense from coming out of the mouth. I guess this is why the lip sewing fantasy which often visits me at moments like this is more appealing to me. I applaud your ingenuity, never-the-less.
